She is head of the project “Opened Essay: Reflections on Textual and Theatrical Writing in The ‘Side B’ of Matter, by Alberto Villarreal”. At CITRU, she has specialized in the study of the creative process for theater, border dramaturgy and writings of violence. As a result of previous research, she has published the following books: A Comedy in an Old-Fashioned Way. Record Book of the Staging (Conaculta-INBA-CITRU / Escenología, 2003, coauthored with Emma Dib); Dramatic Writing into Context, Part I (Conaculta-Fondo Regional para la Cultura y las Artes del Noreste / INBA-CITRU, 2007); Spirits and Non-Canonical Saints. Life and Miracles of the Child Fidencio, The “Tiradito” and “Malverde” (Conaculta / INBA / Libros de Godot, 2008); she did the compilation and introduction for the book Long Live the Theater! Three Plays, Three Moments (Libros de Godot, 2010) by Víctor Hugo Rascón Banda; and the compilation and introductory study for the book Nearly Death, Nearly Life.Theatrical Expressions in the North Border of Mexico (Conaculta-INBA-CITRU / Libros de Godot, 2011). She was the director of the documentaryAlchemist by Trade. Technicians in Theater (Conaculta-INBA-Cenidiap, 2005) and she is currently working on the edition of her books Dramatic Writing into Context, Part II and Poetic Art Border. Her essays and articles can be found in compilations in more than fifty collective books and specialized magazines in Mexico and abroad. She has extended the dramatic work of Víctor Hugo Rascón Banda, Enrique Mijares, Antonio Zúñiga, Alejandro Román and Roberto Corella. She is a Modern Literature PhD candidate at the Latin American University (Universidad Iberoamericana), has a master´s degree in the same specialty and a bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Literature and Theater from UNAM. She is a professor of the master´s and bachelor’s programs in Literature at the Juárez University in the State of Durango (Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango) and of the Master´s in Arts at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua). She was academic coordinator of the second International Theater Festival at the Gran Carpa de la Paz, Barrancabermeja, Colombia, 2012, and is currently the academic coordinator, along with José Ramón Alcántara, of the editorial collection Theater Studies Library of the Publishing House Libros Godot.
