He taught the “Theater of the Oppressed” workshop for the transformational Theater Seminar headed by Master Gabriela Gutiérrez (Mexico City, 2008). He participated as lecturer at the AMIT gatherings (Xalapa, Veracruz, 2003; Mexico City, 2003; Mérida, Yucatán, 2004, and Cuernavaca, Morelos, 2006). He attended the XXVII and XXVIII EITALC gatherings (International School of Theater of Latin America and the Caribbean [Escuela Internacional de Teatro de América Latina y el Caribe]), the first of which was devoted to the techniques of the Theater of the Oppressed and conducted by Augusto Boal in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2001; and the second one focused on the relationship between theater and performances, and took place in Los Angeles, California, USA, in 2002. He participated in the series of presentations and conferences “The Alternative Scene / The Stage Body” organized by CITRU, CENART and PADID in 2001, with the lecture “The Alternative Scene: Towards an Art Identical to the Look ”; as well as in the series of conferences “The Writer’s Profession” organized by INBA and CNCA in 1997. Amongst his publications the following stand out: “Hugo Hiriart’s Theater; Biographical Sketch, Data and Critical Study”, a research project on the process of being edited that will be released in CD-ROM digital format (CITRU 2007-2010); “Theatricality and Performative Arts”, in Citru-doc, theater research notebooks, CNA-INBA, November, 2005; “Poetics of the Stage Fact: Concerning Two Theatrical Games by Hugo Hiriart”, in Artistic Education, issue 17, INBA, April-June 1997; “Gurrola by Strindberg Himself: Some Reflections on the Term subversion in theater”, in Documenta CITRU, issue 4, new age, May 2001; “The Invisible Fire in Theater”, in Documenta CITRU, issue 3, new age, November 2000; “The Paradox of Performance-Theater”, in Documenta CITRU, issue 2, first age, May 1996. He received an honorable mention in the Manuel Herrera National Dramaturgy Award 2000 (Querétaro) for his work Zapping or How Not to be Afraid of Animal Crackers, which was presented under the direction of Héctor Bonilla at the Backstage of Arts (Foro de las Artes) (June-July, 2002).
